Due to the student market the majority of apartments and rental houses in West Campus or North Campus are secured many months in advance. For example, most students will locate and secure housing for fall 2010 semester as early as October 2009 thru February 2010.

As a recent UT grad, I've helped many students locate housing over the past 4 years. I'm familiar with many of the popular houses, duplexes, condos and apartments and work with all of the property management companies in West Campus. And of course there is never a charge to you for my service.

Another option that has become a trend for students in the past two years is renting in Downtown Austin. The UT Shuttles have several bus routes that run through the center of Downtown Austin daily and the rent, in some cases, is comparable to West Campus. The number of Austin high rise, mid rise and loft apartments & condos has been rapidly growing over the past 5 years.
